Promises of the Holy Spirit

Joel 3:1-3  “I will pour My Spirit on all mankind.  Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men see visions.  Even on the slaves, men and women, will I pour out my Spirit in those days. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved."

 

John 14:26  “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.”

 

John 16:13  “But when the Spirit of Truth comes He will lead you to the complete truth . . . He will glorify me.”

 

Mark 16:20  “Jesus commissioned . . .but would also confirm His word by signs to help people believe.”

 

Mark 16:17  “These are the signs that will be associated with believers; in my name they will cast out devils…they will have the gift of tongues . . .they will lay hands on the sick who will recover.”

 

Luke 24:49  “And now I am sending down to you what the Father has promised.  Stay in the city until you are clothed with the power from on high.”

 

Acts 1:8  “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judea and Samaria, and indeed to the ends of the Earth.”
