Prayer Against Depression

Lord Jesus, I pray your help and grace in my life.  There are times when I wish I were not.  I want to run away, far away and hide.  I don’t want to be with anyone, anywhere anyhow.  I even feel that you have left me, but I know that even in my deepest anguish and fear, you are there, Lord, you know how I feel.  You too cried out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:47) 

Yet you trusted in your Father’s love.  You love me and have loved me even unto death.  Please be with me in this my Gethsemane time.  Let me embrace and accept the truth of my life before you, and that is that you first loved me.
