WCF Preparation for Prayer

As you wait to receive prayer, please use this prayer to prepare your heart.

Dear Lord Jesus, I confess my need for you and for the healing power of your love in my life.  I confess that I am a sinner and rely on your mercy and your grace for forgiveness and healing. 

I invite you, Lord Jesus, into my heart and into my life.  I welcome your presence in the power of your Holy Spirit and ask that as I seek healing this prayer will be a time of grace for me.  Will you please stir up the graces given to me at my baptism, and all the sacraments that I have received, (i.e. my confirmation, my first Holy Communion, my first sacrament of reconciliation and the sacrament of marriage as well as when I may have received the anointing of the sick.)  I pray you will deliver me from the snares of the enemy so that I may walk in freedom from the slavery to sin, from all inner woundedness, and from any physical ailments or disease of any kind.

Please search my heart and my soul, Lord, and shed your light into my area of need.  Help me identify where I am in need of healing.  (Please enter into a silent time with the Lord at this time and let Him reveal your need.  He may reveal something unexpected or different than you think.  Please be open to His Word to you personally.)

I welcome the resurrection power of your love and presence into my woundedness (name this before the Lord if you are able) and I ask that you will impart to me the gift of faith to receive healing.  Please give me the courage to share my need as I receive
